Ofcourse football. 90 mins of full thrill. I am not sure how people can compare these two.

Media promotes cricket just because it gives them more Ad airtime (because you can show an ad just after a ball is over and the game itself is longer). Cricket became popular because media (mailnly TV) promoted it. If you had a chance to see only football, the things would have been different.

The best case for football: Indians can watch football sans any sentiments. We don't have a national football team....or we r blissfully unaware of any such things.

I would prefer football as it is more energetic and thrilling. These kinds of games are perfect example of team games.

Probably the best way to prove the above point is the diffrence in the pattern in which commercial advertisements are being broadcasted during these games.
